Departments

Biomedical Engineering (BME)

IIT's program in Biomedical Engineering consists of a broad exposure to the biological and physical sciences, math, and fundamental engineering content. Students will specialize in one of three areas of expertise.

Chemical & Biological Engineering (CHBE)

Through IIT's Chemical and Biological Engineering program, students will develop a strong base of engineering, science, and math to help them design and conduct experiments and interpret the outcome.

Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering (CAEE)

IIT's Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering program will prepare graduates to be successful in either graduate education, or as they begin their career.

Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE)

IIT's Electrical and Computer Engineering program provides a strong foundation in math, physics, chemistry, and computer science and allows students to explore areas of interest through elective courses.

Mechanical, Materials, & Aerospace Engineering (MMAE)

Through IIT's Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering program, students explore the design and manufacture of machines, aircraft, vehicles beyond the earth's atmosphere, and the structure and properties of engineering materials.
